Hi Ross,
I found your review to be very thorough.
I wanted to ask for your advice on something. Currently I run, swim and mountain bike and also do gym/weights so I'm working out on something about 5 days a week.
On looking at the Suunto site I was thinking of the M5 or either the T3 or 4D but after reading your review of the Quest I am now torn.....
Is the Quest a replacement or upgrade for the T3/4?
What would your recommend?
All advice is greatly appreciated...

Yes I agree that Garmin's are great. But what is the best counterpart of Garmin? Can anyone tell me?

Hey Paul, I used the Garmin 305 in Iraq and Afghanistan, it worked like a charm. Yes, it is older model, but I would imagine that you should be fine with a more recent model as well.

I used it in a couple of creative ways...use your imagination...it was a great tool in my bag for a back up E&E tool...

I used it daily in Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan, then later while on leave in Sweden, going through the Archipelago too!

Over all, I would recommend it! I have had mine since 2005 (?)...
Stay safe, Cheers, MTF!

I have been running in Vietnam for 16 years and it is easy. Do like the locals do and get up at 4: no traffic, heat, or pollution.

Can't wait to buy the Ambit (pending your review, of course), and upgrade from my M5. Wonder if the Ambit will also have cadence, like the Quest. Really, really hope the GPS has a trace feature (missing from their current GPS Pod) that shows your track in Movescount AUTOMATICALLY; the way Suunto utilises GPS at the moment (or doesn't) is a disgrace considering their otherwise outstanding products. Looking forward to your review!
